"Semyonov was a designer of film posters and stage sets who also designed and installed exhibitions . . . He helped design the Soviet Pavilions for the International Exhibitions in Paris (1925), New York (1926), Monza (1927), Cologne (1928) and Brussels (1958)" (Pack p. 306). Here for Leonid L. Obolensky's film Albidum, Semyonov depicts all of the attractive elements of the film: fashion, jazz, sport and beauty. Furniture and clothing designs in the film were by Alexander Rodchenko.
